Find out your Credit Score

When shopping for a mortgage it can be helpful if you know your credit score.  People with good credit will have an easier time qualifying for loans and mortgages.  Equifax provides an online service that will allow you to access a copy of credit bureau instantly.  You can also send or fax Equifax a copy of your ID and they will mail you a copy of your Credit Bureau for free.  It's possible that there might be items on your credit bureau that shouldn't be there.  This can make it harder to qualify for a mortgage.  It is important to review your credit from time to time to ensure the information on your bureau is accurate.  If you have any questions contact your mortgage broker.
